This Damascus hunting knife is hand forged from 1095 high-carbon and 15N20 nickel steel, then finished with a rosewood handle, a Damascus guard and a leather sheath. It measures 10" overall, with a 5" blade and a 5" handle. That gives you a size that handles field dressing and skinning without feeling oversized on the belt.
Every blade is forged by hand, so the twist pattern on yours will be one of a kind.

Why Hunters and Collectors Choose This Knife
-
A forged, not stamped, blade. The steel is folded and forge-welded by hand. The pattern is part of the metal, not a surface print.
-
A balanced 10" size. A 5" blade is long enough for deer-sized game and short enough for precise skinning cuts.
-
A grippy rosewood handle. The handle is shaped for a comfortable, non-slip hold, even with wet hands.
-
Sheath included. You get a protective leather sheath in the box, so there's nothing extra to buy.
-
Gift ready. Engraving a name or logo turns it into a personal gift. Message us before you order.
Materials and Craftsmanship
The Damascus blade
This blade is made from 1095 high-carbon steel and 15N20 nickel steel. The two are layered, heated and forge-welded, then twisted to create the pattern. The 1095 layers give the blade its cutting edge. The nickel layers add the bright contrast you see in the etch. At HRC 58-60, the blade is hard enough to hold a working edge and still sharpen easily with a stone in camp.
The rosewood handle and Damascus guard
Rosewood is a dense hardwood with a natural grain, so no two handles look alike. The Damascus guard protects your hand and ties the handle to the blade visually.
The leather sheath
The knife ships with a leather sheath for belt carry and storage. Keep the knife dry inside it (see the care section below).

Care Guide: Keep Your Damascus Blade Rust-Free
High-carbon Damascus can rust if left wet or dirty. This is true of any carbon steel blade. Five habits prevent it:
-
Wipe it dry after every use, especially after field dressing.
-
Wash with warm water and mild soap if needed, then dry immediately with a soft cotton or microfiber cloth.
-
Never store it wet in the sheath. Leather holds moisture. Let the knife dry fully before sheathing.
-
Avoid abrasives such as steel wool and metal polish. They dull the etched pattern.
Condition the rosewood handle with a little wood-safe oil every few months.
FAQs
Is Damascus steel good for hunting knives?
Yes, when it is properly forged and heat treated. Damascus blades take a sharp edge and hold it well. Carbon-steel versions need regular wiping and oiling to prevent rust.
Will this Damascus hunting knife rust?
It can if it is left wet. The blade contains high-carbon steel. Dry it after use, oil it lightly and it will stay in good shape.
What steel is the blade made from?
Hand forged 1095 high-carbon steel and 15N20 nickel steel, in a twist pattern.
How hard is the blade?
HRC 58-60. That balances edge retention with ease of sharpening.
What size is the knife?
10" overall, with a 5" blade and a 5" handle.
Does it come with a sheath?
Yes, a leather sheath is included.
Can I get my name or logo engraved?
Yes. We take custom orders and engrave. Email ZBKnives786@gmail.com or message us on WhatsApp before you order.
Is each knife identical?
No. Every blade is hand forged, so the pattern and wood grain vary slightly from piece to piece. Expect small differences from the photos.
